BACKGROUND

Kent County Council awarded Veolia, the UK’s leading recycling and waste management company, the contract to treat  11,000 tonnes per year of municipal waste. This is part of the UK strategy to recycle, generate green electric and reduce landfill.

BRIEF

CBL was appointed as the design and build contractor to upgrade Veolia’s existing building to meet the Environment Agency’s requirements and Kent County Council’s contract award.

SUSTAINABILITY

CBL undertook the works using internationally recognised sustainable construction methods to deliver Veolia a modern and energy efficient building to meet their sustainable contract requirements.

The building and operational use is now diverting materials previously sent to landfill for recycling and the production of renewable energy.
