Working with Veolia to replace the failing roof at Gillmoss Waste Transfer Station while maintaining operational activities over the busy 2020 Christmas period. This was achieved through the use of a Spanish-designed ‘Walk-on Netting’ system.

Veolia operates a state-of-the-art waste transfer facility minimising waste volumes and transferring non-recyclable waste to a facility that generates green electricity for use by the national grid, thus avoiding landfill and the associated negative environmental impact.

The renewal of the roof and structural supporting members, and disused ventilation stacks.

• CBL developed working methods and phasing to maintain the site’s critical public services, giving maximum protection to the roofing and Veolia operational workforce
